Confidentiality at Intrepidy

As part of providing counselling at Intrepidy your counsellor will need to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your current situation. This information is gathered as part of your therapeutic assessment and treatment and enables our psychologists to provide an appropriate and informed clinical service. The information collected is kept highly confidential.

You are able to access the material recorded in your file upon request, subject to the exceptions in National Privacy Principle 6 .

All personal information gathered by our psychologists will remain confidential and secure with the following exceptions:

  1. When it is subpoenaed by a court, or

  2. Failure to disclose information would place you or another person at risk, or

  3. Your prior consent has been obtained to:
